Hotel Higgins
Hotel Higgins celebrated its grand opening on May 19, 1917, proudly offering “steam-heated rooms and hot and cold running water.” More than a century later, Hotel Higgins remains a distinctive place to stay and dine. Its outdoor patio is an inviting spot to enjoy a summer evening in downtown Glenrock.

Oregon Trail History
Rock in the Glen
Rock in the Glen is located along the western edge of Glenrock. The formation contains names and dates carved into the stone by travelers passing through on the Oregon Trail. John C. Frémont’s first expedition, guided by Kit Carson, once camped in the rocky glen. Visitors can park near the interpretive sign and walk onto the rock formation to search for the faded inscriptions left behind by early travelers.

Annual Community Celebration
Deer Creek Days
Each summer, Glenrock comes alive for Deer Creek Days. This community tradition features three days of parades, pancake breakfasts, barbecue, live music, rodeo action, local art, and family activities. Visitors can enjoy events such as a 5K, basketball tournament, mud volleyball, horse show, tractor pull, craft sale, talent show, and much more.
Dinosaurs & Discovery
Glenrock Paleon Museum
The Paleon Museum is home to an impressive collection of dinosaur fossils and geological treasures discovered in the Glenrock area. This engaging local museum offers visitors of all ages an up-close look at Wyoming’s prehistoric past.
Guided museum tours are available with affordable admission, and children ages 12 and younger are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.
