The 6th Annual Freedom Fest brings another exciting Independence Day celebration to Douglas, Wyoming! Hosted by the Douglas Police Department, Converse County Joint Communications, and local first responders, this free community event is designed to bring families together for a full day of patriotic fun.
Celebrate 250 years of American independence with activities for all ages including a 5K run, Kiddie Parade, inflatables, live music, food trucks, games, and more in beautiful Washington Park.
Start your morning with the Freedom Fun Run 5K. Day-of registration begins at 8:00 AM in Washington Park with the race beginning at 9:00 AM. The route loops through the Douglas Mountain walking trail before returning to the park.
Kids ages 14 and under are invited to participate in the Patriotic Kiddie Parade. Registration opens at 10:00 AM with the parade beginning at 11:00 AM. Participants will line up near the City Pool on Center Street before the route loops through Washington Park.
After the parade, enjoy inflatables, face painting, yard games, food trucks, live music, and community fun throughout Washington Park until 3:00 PM before heading to the fireworks show at dark.
This free Independence Day celebration provides a safe and welcoming environment for families, visitors, and community members to gather together and celebrate the holiday in downtown Douglas.
